6th Nov 2011.. Eidul Adha or Hari Raya Haji in Malay is an Islamic Celebration to commemorate the sacrifice of Prophet Ibrahim and his son Ismail to obey Allah. The day is also to celebrate the ending of Hajj where after wukuf at Arafah they do final phase of Hajj at Makkah by going around Kaabah or Tawaf before they can remove their ihram to comple the Hajj. Many slaughter cows, buffaloes or goats on this grand occasion. I also took part in the slaughter of a buffalo taking a part from seven parts. Below is the buffalo which cost around 2600 rm and I just took one part so it cost around 400 rm. The meat has to be distributed as a charity and I manage to give around three quater kilos each to 22 families. Alhamdulillah 'Their flesh and blood does not reach Allah but your heedfulness does reach Him. In this way He has subjected them to you so that you might proclaim Allah's greatness for the way that He has guided you. Give good news to the good-doers. (
